Puppy PULLS, can I still find a walker?

Hi! I’m very new to using this app. I have an almost 11 month old golden retriever. I work 7-4 and would like to hire somebody to help walk him mid day, as I think it would be good for him. He’s super friendly, loves everyone, everything.

However, he pulls a LOT. We’re working on it (private training, behavioralist), but he’s so excited and rowdy that I’m struggling myself to walk him. Can I still use this app to find a dog walker if I warn them about his pulling?

Also, I just give them a copy of my apartment and building keys to keep? How reliable is this, does Rover screen walkers or do I have a high chance of being robbed?

Teddy Bear is almost a year old!

My troublemaker of a field golden is 11 months now! I really just wanted to share this picture of him, he’s such a brute most days it’s hard to get him to sit still.

Fenced in fields around the city?

Hello! It’s my first break up season here and I’m noticing most dog parks are just giant puddles of mud, which is fine! However, my dog is 11 months old and LOVES jumping on people.

Unfortunately, most people do not like getting muddy, so while we work on training, we can’t go to dog parks where there’s a lot of people for him to jump on.

We tried South Anchorage Dog Park but it’s not fully fenced in, and Whisper Faith Kovach dog park always has tons of people.

Are there any fenced in baseball fields or soccer fields that I could let him run in (if they aren’t in use).

Note: I always pick up after him & I fill in holes if he digs any.

My dog just won’t sleep. He whines ALL night.

I work 7-4

I wake up at 5am so I can give him an hour walk before work, and immediately upon getting home I take him on another hour walk. I let him sniff everything.

From 5pm till 10pm I play with him, brush him, give him a variety of puzzles and frozen kong’s and bones.

We also do little training sessions, maybe 15-20min.

Then we go on another walk, for 30min. Then it’s bed time.

He will settle for maybe 30min? Then he’s whining again. All night. He just paces and pants the whole time and won’t settle down.

I don’t have a yard, he can’t go to daycare right now, and the dog parks are just giant pits of mud currently.

Please help me understand what to do. We start with a private trainer in two weeks, but I’m so sleep deprived I’m going insane.

Please do not suggest rehoming my dog!!!
