Housing Is a Basic Need, Not an Investment Vehicle

Housing shouldn't become an economic market. Any person should be able to get a house to live in at an affordable price. Governments should invest in social housing more than wasting money on military and other unnecessary spending. Of course, they need money for defense, but spending huge amounts of money on military equipment is unnecessary.

My personal opinion is that houses for the middle class or working class should cost around 25% of the average salary. Governments should spend money on housing subsidies. There is no need to give houses for free, but there should be affordable rental housing projects.

Let private investors invest in premium housing, upper class housing, commercial properties, etc., but not in the basic housing market. A safe space to live is a need, not a luxury.
