The Lactation of Saint Bernard
Anyone knows what's up with this? Did it actually happen
What do you consider to be the greatest literary work of your country?
My pick for Brazil would be Grande Sertão: Veredas by Guimarães Rosa.
I know this question sounds silly, but allow me to explain. To believe in dinosaurs means to believe that an entire group of various species went extinct before humans even appeared on Earth. It presupposes the existence of suffering and death long before the Fall. As I understand it, to believe in dinosaurs also presupposes the belief in Evolution, for the sake of logical coherence.
Is it possible to reconcile these beliefs with catholicism? If so, how?
A common analogy I've seen to explain the Trinity is by using humans. Think of three humans, they share the same essence, humanity, but they are three different persons. The same is true for God: He is one essence, which is shared equally between three Persons. But:
- three human persons are three different humans;
- three divine Persons aren't supposed to be three gods.
How to resolve this?
