I completed my first endurance ride and am very proud of myself and my horse!
It was such a pleasure to complete my first endurance race a few weekends ago! I was on Mobi who is a paint x percheron and is a wonderful lesson horse at the barn I ride at. Nothing about our setup was optimized and by the end of the 30 miles I was exhausted, but Mobi did amazing. Her condition at the end of the race was terrific and she got all As on her score card!
After growing up in barrel racing and mounted shooting, it's been such a pleasure as an adult to learn about and start to participate in a discipline where the health of the horse is so important that it's literally part of your overall placing. Would strongly recommend to anyone who's interested!
