Ever since I watched the anime movie “Spirited Away” as a child, I’ve wanted to find a place that looks like the tiny island with the small house from the train scene. With help from Google Maps, I eventually found a small house standing alone on a lake. I spent many weeks planning this trip and traveled there yesterday. Taking this shot wasn’t easy either. The house was about 1,300 feet away from the shore, so I had to rent an extra-long telephoto lens in advance. I know it doesn't look exactly the same, but it's the closest thing I can find (except for Holland Island).
