Interpretation

I have asked what I need to do to attract healthy relationships?

This card came

My interpretation says, I'm currently looking at my past relationship rather than the new opportunities. I'm stuck in my old breakup things. To attract a healthy relationship, I should focus on new opportunities rather than being stuck in the past.

Was it correct?

Rituals

Do rituals matter for tarot practice?

I’m learning tarot and I’m curious about something. Is it necessary to do rituals before every tarot reading, especially while practicing? For example, lighting a candle, keeping crystals, placing water, incense, cleansing the deck, etc. Do these things actually matter for reading tarot, or can I simply sit down, shuffle the cards, focus on my question, and start reading? I’d love to hear how experienced tarot readers approach this.

The hermit

I've been practicing tarot by observing the imagery first instead of memorizing meanings. This is what I noticed about The Hermit card:
I see an old, wise man holding a staff in one hand and a lantern in the other.

He's standing on a snowy mountain in the darkness and looking downward.

The lantern feels like it's lighting the way, almost as if he's guiding someone through the dark.

Because he's alone on the mountain, it gives me a feeling of solitude, patience, and deep reflection.

It also reminds me of spiritual teachers or monks who go to the mountains to meditate and seek wisdom.

My interpretation is that this card suggests taking your time, looking within, being patient, and seeking guidance from someone wise—or becoming your own guide through self-reflection.
I'm still learning tarot, so I'd love to know: Am I interpreting The Hermit correctly, or am I missing any important symbolism?
