Having surgery on 6/1 and I’m extremely anxious

I have had multiple gallbladder attacks since September n finally having surgery on 6/1. I’m being told it’s same day surgery but I’m extremly nervous. I always get very sick from anesthesia. I have a huge fear of it but I also get sick. Last year, I had a myomectomy n I woke up with extreme dizziness, throwing up and very nauseas. I was supposed to be in and out but was not released until right before midnight. I know I need to have the gallbladder surgery but I have so much anxiety about it. Any advice or anything anyone can say to help would be appreciated

Need advice - new job offer

Hello my fellow paralegals. So I currently work at a pi firm that is small, one owner. The pay is low, we have no benefits , no pto, etc. they r very flexible if u need to be out but u just wont get paid. The attorney is easy to work with and i like the job but decided to seek out another opportunity due to the low pay and no benefits situation. I was offered another position with higher pay, full benefits, pto etc. it is on the defense side of pi and it is a large firm so there is room for growth. I’m very comfortable in my current position and I need some reassurance that I’m doing the right thing leaving a firm that i already know is a good fit. I’m nervous now to take this leap as I had bad experiences in the past. Please give me some advice!

Edit: I have asked for more money before at my current firm n they r not willing to pay more. They consider my position “entry level” but I’m not doing entry level work.

Needing advice on possible switch

Hello all. I need advice and I would like to ask my fellow paralegals. So, I have been a paralegal for about 2 years now working in personal injury. Before I was a paralegal, I was an emergency room tech working in healthcare for 16 years. I went back to school because at that point I wanted a change and to explore another career. I loved my paralegal classes and actually obtained my bachelors degree as well. My dilemma is that since I started working, I feel I just do not enjoy the job and that I’m getting no fulfillment out of it compared to being in healthcare. I switched firms about a year in and I do like the firm that I’m at now as the attorney is very nice, flexible and the staff are all nice to work with. However, I still feel like I’m just getting thru each day and just not enjoying it and not seeing it as something I can do long term.

I’m seriously considering going back to healthcare but I feel I have put so much time into launching this career n getting my degree so that pulls me back.

Any advice I would appreciate ! Thank you all.
