[Weekly Thread] A Matter of Nerves: the Good, the Bad & the Ugly

Weekly thread for little CMT issues good and bad. Whether it's a small irritation that non-CMT folks won't understand or a small victory that you want to celebrate with us.

Note: questions should get their own thread, for higher visibility, rather than being posted to this thread.

User Flairs

I went to add a new user flair (CMT X1 instead of just CMT X) and realized that I could turn on editable flairs so people can make their own. Try not to go too wild, but if we do not have a flair for your subtype now you can make your own instead of asking for one to be made.

Mail Order Pharmacy Service (outside Oklahoma)

So, I am now on a regular prescription medication for the first time in my life. I do not live in or near Oklahoma, but I am a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. I see that they offer a mail-order pharmacy service. Does anyone have experience with this? Want to share your tips on managing prescriptions this way?

TBH, I am nervous about any mail-order service for anything important. I like to be able to stare down a live human being if they mess something up, not get put on hold indefinitely. Let me know if you have had experiences, good or bad with the CNO pharmacy!

Monthly Art & Craft MegaThread

This MegaThread is for people selling Choctaw Art or Craft works. People who wish to show off their art and craft creations which are not for sale are permitted (and encouraged!) to post freely outside this thread.

This space is intended to allow people who sell their Choctaw art and craft original creations (painting, clothes, beadwork, woodwork, leatherwork, etc) to advertise and link to their sales page. No sales links will be permitted outside this thread. People posting in this thread are required to first get the Verified Artist flair by going through a verification process with the moderators.

To become a Verified Artist, you must be registered with the tribe and show proof of this to the mods. You can either send a copy of your Choctaw Artist Certificate or a copy of your tribal ID to the mods. If you choose to use tribal ID, we will look you up in the Registered Artist database, and you must be listed. Here is the link to apply for Registered Artist status, if you do not already have it: Choctaw Artist Registry

In either case, write your Reddit ID on a piece of paper and use that to block identifying information other than your name. Since Reddit does not allow images to be sent directly through ModMail, you will need to upload your image to a host and then send the link to us through ModMail (ModMail is the "Message the Mods" button right above the list of moderator names) or contact a Mod over on Discord. We are happy to help walk you through the process either via ModMail or Discord.

Four New Mexico tribes accuse Kalshi of illegal sports betting on their lands

While this is not the Choctaw tribe involved in this lawsuit, and I am not sure how the law in Oklahoma might differ, I think this case could establish an important legal precedent.

For some reason, we have had a huge uptick in fundraisers people are attempting to post over the past week. Just a heads up, this is always against the rules, but I have started handing out bans as well as removing the posts. If you see someone posting a fundraising link, feel free to report it (though I am pretty good about catching them anyway)

Check out our Wiki for tips on managing the diagnostic process.

If you are not yet diagnosed with a rare disease, but are in the process of seeing doctors to search for a diagnosis and do not meet the criteria for making a stand-alone post about your medical issue, this is the place you are allowed to ask questions, discuss your symptoms and your diagnostic journey.
