I try Neuraxial for almost an hour and another attending gets it in one try 😂
As stated above. Entire OR then just thinks I’m completely incompetent I guess 🥲
Some days I just can’t.
Wallowing in my own embarrassment now

I booked a trip in mid September to Tokyo and I found out yesterday that September is Typhoon season! 😮 How bad does it get-- do I need to quickly cancel my plans and try for another time? (which makes me so sad because I was so excited about planning this trip!)
Are there specific cities that are more commonly affected by typhoons vs others? If so where does Tokyo stand on this spectrum (or is the whole country pretty similarly affected).
If I do end up going during this time what things can I do to prepare myself for the weather? Will staying indoors be enough or do I need to make evacuation plans? I guess if there's a really bad one coming I could just leave the country, I'm just wondering if the weather ever gets that severe commonly.
Hello everyone, I am planning a (first time) trip to Tokyo in September with my mom who is in her 60s and has bad knees. We went to Osaka/Kyoto/Nara/Kobe before and we had a great time. So now we would like to see Tokyo. We want to see as much as possible but I also don't want to make my mom tired and exhausted. This is my tentative itinerary -- my biggest dilemma is Friday afternoon, whether I should stay longer at Tokyo Disney Sea or leave Disney Sea earlier to go sightsee Omotesando area which I likely will not have time for if I don't do it Friday afternoon (I guess this is more of a personal decision but if anyone has any insight into how feasible this plan is). Also, I really would like to go to the Shinjuku Gyoen Garden but I have no idea where and how I would fit into this itinerary. Also if anyone has suggestions on must-sees in these areas, I would love to know!
And also a question regarding travel -- Is uber a reasonable option to get around in Tokyo? Obviously public transport is convenient but for some of these portions I feel like an uber would be more convenient for my mom. But will it take wayyy longer with uber because of traffic? For example, going from Tokyo Station to some areas of Ginza. Is uber possible for such short destinations?
Also, yes I know I'm missing so many other exciting parts of Tokyo but I will be back!
Wednesday
- arrive in Haneda --> Hotel in Ginza/Nihonbashi
- no specific plans made just in case flight delays, etc.
Thursday
- Explore nihonbashi/ginza/tokyo station area. 10AM Mitsukoshi department store (mom wants to see), 11AM head to tokyo station for lunch/explore character street, 1PM head to Ginza (Itoya, Muji etc)
- 3 PM head to Tokyo Disneyland, explore Tokyo Disneyland
Friday
- Morning explore Disney Sea
- Option 1: leave Disney Sea at 3PM, go explore Omotesando area (Vintage shopping, cafes, Nezu museum), head to hotel (Shibuya area). This option is the slightly more ambitious option -- is it feasible or slightly delusional?
- Option 2: stay for Dinner and watch the show (Believe Sea of Dreams I believe it's called), then head to hotel (Shibuya area). This option will certainly be the more relaxing one.
Saturday
- Morning explore Shibuya (Shibuya crossing, Shibuya sky, Parco)
- 1PM, head to Narita airport
Thank you everyone for your advice
