I could use some guidance from people who’ve actually owned or built a quality greenhouse.
I’m not a beginner gardener. I’ve been into horticulture since I was a teenager, and over the years it turned into my profession, I’m a certified arborist and qualified tree risk assessor. Between indoor plants, tropicals, and outdoor collections, I’ve completely run out of room and I’m tired of dragging everything back inside every winter.

My wife and I recently bought our first home, a beautiful 1.25 acre property about an hour south of Seattle, and for the first time in my life I actually have the space to build something really nice. I also have the perfect location on the property for a greenhouse.

At first I was looking at the usual aluminum/polycarbonate kits on Amazon and the big box store websites. I was close to pulling the trigger on an 8x12 in the $1,600–$2,000 range. But after reading endless reviews, it seems like even the “best” ones still have the same complaints: confusing instructions, missing parts, flimsy construction, and terrible customer service from random rebranded manufacturers.
Then I discovered the Backyard Discovery Bellerose LX… and now I can’t unsee it.
It honestly looks incredible, and it seems like it would be both beautiful and highly functional for what I need. But even on sale, it’s still around $5k, which is a huge jump from where I started.

Does anyone here own one or have firsthand experience with the Bellerose LX?
What do you genuinely love about it?
What do you hate about it?
How has it held up over time, especially in wet/cold climates?
I think I’m looking for someone to either validate this purchase… or talk me out of it before I spend five grand on a greenhouse.
