Overrated or over touristed spots?

I know everyone has different opinions. But of the following places, have you visited any and thought I could have given that a pass for being excessively touristy and/or not offering anything more unique than similar/closeby sites or cities in SE Asia:

-Angkor Wat

-Ha Long Bay

-Chiang Mai city

-Hanoi city

2 teams. I work in team 1. Team 2 needs members and it's a huge pay jump and I have proven myself that I can take on the role. My team (1) has also been advertising for our roles in our team. In a meeting with team 2, their manager looked directly at me and said please consider applying for our upcoming role. My manager said "dont poach my team" as a "joke".

Later that day my manager was buzzing around and I overheard her saying I've reached out to a candidate that we interviewed (for team 1) and she'd be interested to move her application to your team, we've already set it up with HR. The next day the manager even higher above her was pushing this as well - Even saying "we might not even need HR to advertise now!". And acting like children going whens are you having a coffee date!! When! When!.. team 2 manager was all excited as they are hyping this person up a LOT.

I felt so powerless overhearing this. I emailed HR and asked if the role's still being advertised and they put it up right after I asked.

What do you recommend I do? I'm going to apply. But today I really didn't want to artificially start sucking up and competing/looking desperate with the manager of team 2. It's not my style. Should I apply and approach her directly saying we could have a catchup if she is free? Never experienced this.
