It happened to me! I got banned from a school!

I usually see these posts from other substitutes saying they got banned and thought that would never happen to me. I'm a good sub! I've done this forever! I leave my classrooms clean, the lesson plans done, the kids in one piece! But today ESS sent me an email saying I was banned from a school.

The email mentioned my accidentally projecting the teacher's scribbled in notes about student behaviors on the projector screen when trying to project the lesson plans. Which I did. Totally fair but it was an accident that lasted for a few seconds before I caught it. We all make mistakes. But they also mentioned other issues with my classroom behavior and it's driving me crazy because I don't know what it could possibly be. The day was so smooth I don't even really remember the assignment. It was a pretty easy day with a really good class. Nobody had to come in and help quiet the class down and there were no aides in the classroom who had to take over. I've had dozens of jobs that were much harder and for which I feel I didn't do a good enough job with.

Now I'm completely paranoid about my jobs and I'm a little freaked out. The email came with a reminder about all the things that makes a good sub and I do all of it. I always follow the lesson plan and I always walk around and I always am respectful to the students. I will probably worry the next time an aide or other teacher has to come in and help with classroom management. What happens if I make another mistake? What if a major issue happens during the day and I can't stop it? Will I get in trouble again? Will I start getting banned from other schools? Will I get in trouble with ESS? Or should I just chalk it off to the school? Or just one of those days? Maybe it just comes with subbing for a long time, that you'll eventually get in trouble at least once?

Like I did today. Between not knowing what to do and the need for money, I am working but miserable.

For those who work with ESS, can you use PTO time for it? All the instructions talk about is how you you need to do it beforehand, nit for when you call in sick.
