Are there any adjuncts that teach social work classes at the CC level? I'm curious if that's a thing because of accreditation. I'd love to bring social work classes to my local CC, but I don't know how common this is.
For context, I'm currently an adjunct instructor for two different universities remotely. I teach undergrad social work classes.
I'm in a doctoral social work program, slated to graduate end of 2027. I'm looking at my assignments and...well, I'm tired. That's everyone though. But I'm wondering - how important is GPA for taking the next step and becoming a full-fledged Associate/Assistant Professor? I'm currently sitting at a 4.0, but the amount of time it takes it so overwhelming that I'm considering just relaxing a little bit and being more accepting if I get a B this term.
But I also don't want to shoot myself in the foot.
I'd love to know your thoughts on the weight of GPA in the hiring process.
Hi all! I'm teaching an intro social work class, and we have a few discussion posts sprinkled throughout the course. One of the rubric sections emphasizes grammar and APA. I haven't found a good way to "mark" grammatical errors without copy/paste and then typing out each correction. This is a bit laborious.
Does anyone have any suggestions on easier ways to do this? Screenshot and use an image editor to mark up? Print, write, and scan? Everything I think of seems to be even more labor intensive.
