Aw no, that poor bastard! ...But anywayyy he won't need some of his things now.
Gotta get busy lootin', or get busy dyin'.

😄
Unlucky in life and, well, can't say he was that lucky in death either.
Why wouldn't he just let Geralt know, especially if that would cause more agony that he could feed on?
This run, I first tried not getting the rose, just to see what happens. It made my heart crack a little. I had to reload.
"I am sadness." 😭
I think I still have the checkpoint saved (PS5), so I could go again. Does it take a lot of parrying and rolling, Aard and Yrden? I'm a Dodge and Quen guy.
PS5 photo mode is limited in its capabilities, especially with respect to lighting conditions and angles. The camera actually gets blocked by objects. But, in any case, here are some I felt were memorable.
Olgierd claims it's ink, and Iris might be easier to fool, or she suspects it isn't ink, but Geralt can see and smell the difference. So, y'know...We see what happens to Iris's father, but we don't know what happens to her mother and brother, right? After the dinner, we don't hear about or from them again..
Anyone feel he was justified in this decision? I get that he would've been under their thumb for a long time. But was this worth it? They would've been debt-free. They would've had a chance to rebuild their life. Most importantly, they would still be together. What am I missing?
The horror aspect of this DLC is top-notch.
I cast Igni on those firefly things outside Iris's gazebo. Tripped the alarm. Oops. Good thing I didn't take another step forward or...adios my head 😬
And, I know, deadly. But I'll take a moment to admire it.
I went to the library today and thought I'd check out what was available for PS5. And WTH did I find??? Pretty cool!
..Or a storyboard? It was so impressive to me. I didn't recall it from my initial run. I'm paying more attention in this run (NG+).
Did more for her than Olgierd ever did.
Rotated it 90 degrees. It doesn't look like Iris, right? If so, then I wonder who it is. Interesting pose, too.
Seeing Iris's corpse lying in this wreckage of a room, amid the rubble and debris, in a dilapidated manor that once stood vibrant and proud, filled me with profound sadness, especially after learning the way she passed.
This fight lasted about five minutes, in my initial run. Now, on NG+, in B&BB difficulty (same as initial run diff), it took me over THIRTEEN minutes. During that time, I got busted up at least 5 times. I know this because Second Life activated 5 times. I couldn't face the portrait to Igni them. Or immediately after carrying Quen, she opened a portal, so I couldn't Igni it. She seemed to be on my tail the entire time, causing me to dodge or roll constantly, so I couldn't destroy the portals. Too many things went wrong or I messed up too many times, or both. It was terrible.
Still got through it in my first attempt, but man oh man, this definitely qualifies for a Holy Effin Ess award.
I feel my blood pressure spiking again.
