Books for learning French beginners A1 and books to read french short stories A1 any recommendations?

Is it worth buying the learning with clémence french program it looks like a structured program judging from her website. Has anyone used it and if so can you tell me if it is worth it?

P.S. I'm also learning from a tutor but need more practice and thought this program might help.

So i am interested in going into teaching in the South Texas region towards McAllen. What alternative certification programs would you all recommend? and is it worth going into teaching?
