Has Anyone Avoided Lawsuits From Most Creditors After Charge-Off?
I have about $60,000 in credit card debt, and all of my accounts have been charged off. It's been about a year and a half, and so far only one creditor has been aggressive about filing a lawsuit.
What are the chances that I could settle or take care of that one creditor and the others never pursue legal action? I'm trying to avoid bankruptcy if possible.
Has anyone been in a similar situation where some creditors never sued or eventually stopped pursuing the debt? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences.
