My old girl, a proper mooching lurcher, miss her terribly still. She was a Beardie/ Border x Greyhound never put a foot wrong, only went off when told. Its difficult to find this cross now but she was one of the gooduns 🐶
Hi everyone firstly thank you for the advise everyone gave whilst we were waiting for the results 💜
So yesterday, my dad was given the news that he has prostate cancer. It has started to encrotch on the bladder, spread to pelvic nodes but not to bone or else where (which is something)
PSA 21.7, gleason 9 grade 5 T4 n1 m0 encrotching onto bladder, no organ spreads but into pelvic nodes radiotherapy and hormone treatment
So they have started hormone treatment, however they cant start radiotherapy yet due to a bulging aeorta. So they are chasing this appointment.
So just wanting to know is there anything I can do when this starts? Or help my dad to do? Am worried cause am full time employed and my job is not very understanding so not sure I can attend his appointments (am going to see about either dropping hours or changing them). My mum is shutting down and not saying much which is another worry (thats a long story for another day)
Am absolutely worried my dad is positive so am trying my best to not show this to him. Is there anything i can be doing to help, ease etc. I have experienced cancer with my aunt but it was 2 years of hell for her as it had spread when found to her spine, liver lungs, breast and brain.
Any advise is very much appreciated sorry if this sounded abit ranty 💜
