Failed Second Attempt

I failed my second driving test today in Peterhead, but honestly I’m feeling a bit better about it after speaking with the examiner.

The good thing is I didn’t get any minors only 3 serious faults.

The first serious fault was at a stop line. I did stop properly, but then I moved off without checking enough because the road looked clear.

The second one was on a hill. The examiner asked me to pull over safely on an uphill road. I forgot to put the car into gear and only used the handbrake. When I released the handbrake, the car started rolling backwards. I got scared, but I managed to control it and put the handbrake back on before anything happened. I already knew at that moment I had probably failed.

The third fault was because I was really nervous and took a wrong turn at a junction after misunderstanding the direction.

At the end of the test, the examiner was actually really nice and positive. I asked her how many more lessons she thinks I need, and she said she honestly doesn’t think I need any more lessons just another test booking. She also said I’m a good driver and that I control the car well.

Now I have to wait 10 days before booking again and probably around 10 weeks for another test date.

Still disappointed, but hopefully third time lucky.
