My Water Boy and Coat suggestions
My boy and I play fetch at the local saltwater beach on the Bay 2-5 times a week for 1-3 hours at a time.
When we first started this, I washed him at home with a hose rinse then a shampoo/rinse then conditioner/rinse. His coat was a disaster, constantly dried out and brittle.
Nowadays, before we leave the beach, I put conditioner on him then we walk home (about 10-15 minutes) and go straight to the backyard where i hose rinse him well. His coat is better now but considering how often his natural oils are washed away, Im wondering if a certain conditioner might be best or even a DIY conditioner as the best commercial conditioner Ive found is Earthbath Outmeal and Aloe but its $75 a gallon... and a gallon lasts about a month $$$?
Any suggestions for saltwater coat aftercare would be appreciated.
