How would I go about requesting an extension to my TCO contract?

I am on a 2 month contract which is due to end in early September. Some team members have said it may be possible to extend, but others aren't sure. I like the place so am hoping I might be able to stay on longer. Any advice??

Scored no. 46 for Laois on Panel for Clerical Officer competition. Is it likely i'd even get called to interview?

Was initially placed in the low 20s but was pushed out further when Public Jobs re-scored everyone. Just wondering what my chances are to be called for an interview?

Do TCOs have to complete PMDS, even if they're only on an 8 week contract?

My line manager got me to submit it today, is this the standard or could this be an indication that my contract may be extended? First time working in civil service so not sure!

Is it okay to ask the Civil Service for an alternative start date for a temporary Clerical Officer position you've been offered?

I got called off the panel for a TCO position (2 month contract) that I'm due to start in July, but I actually am supposed to do invigilation work for 2 weeks in august, which I don't really want to decline. Is it appropriate to ask the hr department if there are alternative start dates for the tco job? Thanks.

I made a mistake in doing an masters in Anthropology, and now it seems there are literally no jobs out there that I'm qualified for... because it's not widely recognised in Ireland.

The only jobs I've had since my MA are in administration, which I really dislike tbh

Any advice would be really helpful!

I passed the interview this week and have been put on the panel for Laois, but I don't know if my OOM (15) has been reached yet. Someone told me that they usually only interview ppl when they've reached your number, but I'm not sure. Anyone have an idea how this works??

I have an honours BA in ancient classics, and am trying to figure out if I can access a post primary degree with this? There aren't much other options for it, it seems!
