salary question/input

I am an RD/CDCES at a critical access hospital in Montana. The hospital is rural, but 60 miles from a big city. i am the outpatient RD, inpatient RD, and supervise the dietary department (6 people). I make the menu, coordinate ordering, personnel, hiring and training, QAPI, and am starting diabetes ed support groups and classes in the outpatient side. So, a lot of things!

i have been connected with this hospital for 5 years as a contractor and built good rapport. I have 7 years of experience as an RD. as a full time employee, they want to pay me $46/hour. i don't feel this is high enough for my role. i know that other leaders in the hospital are making at least $75/hour.

thoughts?

servsafe food handler question

hello! i am an RD at a critical access hospital and we have a QAPI goal to have the dietary department all ServSafe food handler certified and our managers Food Manager certified.

As is so common in rural America AND in food service, about half of our dietary team is either illiterate or struggles with word processing. They are very worried about having to take a 45 question exam to get this certification. Food handler exam is NOT proctored, so my questions are:

Does anyone know if there is an option for group exam?

Can I sit with them while they take the exam to help them process the questions?

Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

▲ 7 r/ACL

i am a 31 yr old female. multisport athlete and never been injured before in my life. march 10 i tore my ACL in a non-traumatic skiing incident. was descending a steep, treed slope with very heavy and deep snow. I turned a few times and then was stopping to choose my next line. as i stopped, my ski got a little stuck under heavy snow and i heard/felt the pop. it barely hurt, but i didn't have stability in that knee to continue where i was descending - the terrain would have been way too challenging. so i took off my skis and boot packed up and out no problem (tho it was uncomfy to traverse when i got to flat ground and put my skis back on) found a ski patroller, and he got me down.

I have a grade 3 full ACL tear, everything else including meniscus in tact. i scheduled surgery for may 28 (quad tendon graft). i am waiting 2+ months because of logistical and work reasons and surgeon said it was ok.

so i am now wondering if i could potentially be a coper. after about 1-2 weeks of the initial injury, i was back to full ROM. full flexion and full extension. I was doing prehab within 2 days with my PT. she actually then graduated me to strength training. I have increased my quad extension weight in both legs by 20 lbs (or kg I can't remember theunits of my machine at the gym). cycling at least 20 miles per week on trails and gravel roads. walking no problem. tango dancing (with my brace) and also teaching yoga (no brace). my quads and glutes are stronger now than i was before this injury. sometimes i feel some swelling and a little bit of discomfort. i still feel like something is wrong in there. but im so functional. I just don't know if i need to get this surgery....

all the doctors say i should get it. but the PTs ive asked are more like.....maybe you're a coper?

just wondering what people think.
