Finally got a good score. I wish success to all toefl candidates
I took my TOEFL iBT at an official test center a few days ago, and my account now shows “Scores Delayed” with a message saying that my test is undergoing an administrative review, which can apparently take 2–4 weeks.
What worries me is that I had a score delay on August 1 as well, but the warning/message shown on my account back then was different. This time it specifically says administrative review, so I’m not sure whether this means something different or more serious.
My university admission deadline is very close, so waiting several weeks would be a serious problem for me.
I have already emailed pretty much every relevant ETS/TOEFL address I could find, including the departments dealing with score delays/reviews, but I haven’t received any response yet.
Has anyone here had this exact “Scores Delayed – Administrative Review” message recently?
If so, how long did it take for your scores to be released? Did you have to contact ETS, or did the status eventually change on its own?
Any recent experience would really help because the uncertainty is driving me crazy.
Listen and repeat ruined everything….
Hi everyone,
I took the TOEFL iBT on August 1, 2026, at the official ETS test center in Amsterdam. I deliberately chose a test center instead of Home Edition because I had read many posts about administrative issues with at-home testing.
However, when I checked my ETS account today, I saw this message:
“Due to an administrative issue, we are not able to provide a score report. Please contact customer support.”
How long did it take for your scores to become available?
What was the administrative issue in your case?
Did you have to contact ETS, or was it resolved automatically?
It’s quite frustrating because I specifically chose the test center to avoid issues like this, yet I ended up receiving the same message.
At this point, it feels like whether you take the test at home or at a test center, you can still end up with the same administrative issue.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone,
I took the new 2026 TOEFL iBT about two days ago, and I'm extremely worried about my Speaking score.
I already know my unofficial scores:
Reading: 4.5
Listening: 5.0
I'm also fairly confident that my Writing will be 4.5 or higher.
My only concern is Speaking.
Before the real exam, I practiced on PrepEx. My Speaking scores there were usually around 4.5 overall. In particular:
Listen and Repeat was consistently around 4.5.
Interview was usually between 4.0 and 4.5.
However, during the real exam I became much more stressed. I heard some unfamiliar words in Listen and Repeat, and the interview topic was about art, which is not a subject I know much about. I kept speaking, but I left the test feeling that I performed much worse than I normally do in practice.
My university requires at least 4.5 in every section, so even if my overall TOEFL score is around 90, a single 4.0 in Speaking would mean I don't meet the requirement.
Has anyone who took the new 2026 TOEFL format felt the same way after Speaking but still received 4.5 or higher?
I'd really appreciate hearing your actual experience and your final Speaking score. Please mention if your test was under the new 2026 format.
