1-on-1 lessons for an adult beginner?

EDIT: I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place for this post, so please let me know if it doesn’t belong here. I don’t want to clutter up the subreddit with something that’s not relevant!

Hi there everyone! It’s more or less what it says in the title…I’m wondering if anyone in this community offers 1-on-1 lessons or tutoring in drawing and watercolor, oil, or acrylic painting. (Or can point me in the direction of someone who can!)

I’m based in New Mexico, USA, I’ve looked into art centers and classes with my local college’s continuing education department, but unfortunately with my work schedule it’s just not realistic. (So many of the classes I’m interested in for my skill level are mid-week and during work hours.) Options for open studios and life drawing sessions feel intimidating, and at this stage I’m really interested in learning the fundamentals. I enjoy noodling around and making goofy art-ish things, and would really love to learn technique.

I’ve tried online drawing courses and YouTube videos, but have found that they are difficult for me to catch the rhythm of. And more so if it’s a painting tutorial!

Any ideas of tutors or artists who either do 1-on-1 lessons or offer classes that are timed for people who work a 9-5? I’d prefer in-person lessons, but am also open to online. Any resources or leads are greatly appreciated!!

Public praise for Lord Hermes

Hi everyone! As the post title says, I’m offering public praise for Hermes. I had promised him I’d sing his praises in the town square as part of a petition, and he came through for me. Not in the way I expected (he’s still who he is) but definitely in exactly the way I didn’t realize I needed.

I generally keep my petitions private, but in case it’s of relevance it sat at the intersection of travel and communication. And since I live in an area without a physical town square, I figured it makes sense to exult him in a virtual one.

So thank you, Lord Hermes! Thank you for your aid, your playfulness, and your wisdom in knowing what we may need, even if we don’t see it clearly yet. Thank you for being a deity that meets us where we are, and welcomes us into deeper relationship. Thank you for the many lessons we learn through building our relationship and devotional practice to you. My gratitude and appreciation for you are more than I can adequately express, and I am so grateful for all the ways you show up in my life.

Praise to Lord Hermes!
