How difficult/expensive would it be to move this consumer unit to the other side of the wall?

Hi all,
I’m currently renovating/remodelling my living room and I’d really like to move this consumer unit if it’s reasonably practical.
It was installed when an extension was added by the previous owners. At the moment it’s mounted on the exposed brick/red wall in the first photo.
What I’d ideally like to do is move it directly to the other side of the same wall, roughly where indicated by the white wall in the second photo. So we’re only talking about moving it through the wall rather than relocating it to another part of the house.
The cables appear to come down from above the existing consumer unit, so I’m wondering whether that makes this relatively straightforward, or whether moving a consumer unit even this short distance becomes a much bigger job because of cable lengths, meter tails, testing, certification etc.
A few questions:
Is this likely to be a fairly simple/cheap job for an electrician, given that it’s essentially moving directly through the wall?
Roughly what sort of cost would you expect for something like this?
Is there any part of the physical work I could sensibly do myself to reduce the cost, such as preparing the opening/mounting position, with an electrician doing all of the actual electrical work?
Is there anything obvious from the photos that could make moving it problematic?
I’m doing quite a lot of the renovation work myself, but obviously don’t want to mess around with the consumer unit if this is firmly a “leave absolutely everything to an electrician” job!
Thanks 🙂

Reposting as pictures weren’t added in on the other post.

Also:

I would want it at the exact same height or higher if that made it more feasible. This will then live inside a cupboard that is going up on that wall.

It’s the original external wall of the house that it’s on now. It would be going on the other side of that same wall.

New to FIREUK

Hi all,

Thank in advance for any advice and help.

I have been following FIREUK for a while and can see that there are some significant life changing decisions that were made in this group that have massively helped organise those people’s financial future.

I’m a high earner and in my early 30s so feel that I’m in a good place to start this journey but struggling to find resources that I can trust related to the FIREUK strategy.

Is there a clear guide that I can read/book I can buy?

In summary, I’m new to this concept and like a bit of literature to be able to digest tactics and strategies.
