Selling SERVICES vs PRODUCTS - B2B

Hi all,

For those who sold services and products in outside b2b world, what was hard to sell? Services or products? Let’s say both have good products and service.

Thank you!

Leaving 200K sales job for medical sales

I have been in the B2B space for 7 years and with this company about 4 years. With the recent comp plan change and leadership change, I start feeling burnt out and afraid that I will get fired even though I have achieved my quota and never missed. However, I got an offer at a medical company selling wound care products (non graft) and territory is promising but OTE is 70K below my current income but uncapped commission.

To those who went from B2B to medical sales.. what was your experience like? I’m day 7 and I’m ready to quit MS lol

Inaccurate Compensation HELP!!

Hi guys, I recently got hired and this is my first medical device company and I came from a B2B world. The recruiter who told me that I will be receiving a monthly commission but then as I am reading on their comp plan it looks like I will not be getting paid any monthly commission to every dollar I sold? Also I have to be at 50% at plan? I mean I am pissed and I want to quit!!!

I was told by the recruiter that I will be paid monthly commissions but it looks like I am not. Omg. Did I make a mistake?

Help me! Can I quit this job? What would you do?

Hiw much would you pay for this?

For those who owned this kind of bag, is this worth it? Also, is this a good first LV bag to own?

What separates your from your competition? Better yet, how do you beat your competition?

I’m curious — a lot of people want to be in the medical field for money, but then once they got the taste of it and how much grinding you have to do they quit. But you, you as the successful one, how do you win after win after win? What separates you from your competition? How do you keep winning? What books do you read? Podcast you listen and even what kind of energy drink and mantra you tell yourself to be a winner?

Just curious how MENTALLY AND STRONG REPS WINS.

Asking for myself. thank you for those who will share some wisdom!

Accepted the Offer and Ghosted the Job

Have you guys gotten an offer and felt like rushed into making a decision?

Long story short. I got the offer since the recruiter is a shark and good at making me feel bad. I wasn’t able to negotiate the salary and now thinking of not doing it but already accepted the offer. I know this is on me. I’m young and this is my first medical sales job coming from B2B.

I mean everyone can accept a job and quit on day 1. I was wondering if this happens often in medical sales.

Is 75K Base Salary is too low for MedSales?

Hey all, is 75K average for a Territory Manager position? Wanted to know your thoughts so I know how much I can negotiate.

75K base plus commission and bonus of course

What’s a 30-60-90 day plan!?

What is a 30 - 60 - 90 day plan and why does hiring managers and medical companies need it? What’s the purpose behind it? Any pointers on how to do this correctly?

B2B to Medical Rep Transition

For those who did B2B (and was successful) who transitioned into Medical Sales, how was that transition for you? Was it easy to break in into medical sales? How’s the income so far? Is it hard to sell?

And for those who are currently in B2B and trying to break in.. how is it so far for you?

Is it TRUE that Medical Companies only hire Beautiful People?

Context:

I have B2B experience and proven track records. Never missed a quota and was a rookie of the year. Also making 200k. However, I want to pivot to Medical Sales because why not? My sister-in-law works as a surgical tech and basically told me today that the kind of rep she knows are the kind that goes on reality TV shows. She mentioned that the rep that works for her doctor went on a Love Island show.

Now, I’m a mom with two kids. 35, minority, but I have grit, tenacity, experience, and also have the right attitude since I am a go-getter. But also, don’t want to be wasting my time if doctors only expect beautiful people for this job lol. I’m not even that bad, I work out but recently gave birth so still PP, I’m tan and Idk seems shallow but just want to throw it out there! Thanks

CURRENT REPS VS INCOMING REPS

For those who are an established rep, when they reach out to you, what are you looking for them? What questions do you expect from them?
