I want to build an ADU in unincorporated King County. Their website has my head spinning. I’m on septic, on a lot with a steep slope area. Can I just meet with someone in the permitting office to go over what I’ll need to submit? Is a professional permit consultant a good idea? I’ll no doubt need to hire a geotechnical firm but don’t know what I need to ask them to do.

I have a passkey for a particular site stored in my password manager but when trying to log into the site, there’s no way I can see to use that stored passkey. What am I doing wrong?

My IRA balance is constantly variable. It’s not the same today as it was last week, last month, last year. I see rules like the 4% rule and other calculations based on account balance used as a guide to how much to withdraw in a year. But with the balance varying over time, how does this work? Do I use today’s balance, or some past date’s balance to make the calculation?
