Please be honest - does this sound like I should speak to GP
54F
I’ve been on 50mg Sertraline since 20th August this year and then the last 6 weeks I’ve been on 100mg with no improvements.
I’m taking this for severe health anxiety and at this point I’m still worrying and catastrophizing 90% of my day about my health. No side effects, just still worrying.
Have I given it long enough, ie six weeks on the 100mg?
Previously I’ve tried Prozac and Citalopram with no luck either..
I’d appreciate some advice, I really would because I’m stumped 🤔
BAAAD sleep - Please does it get better?
I’m on day 16 of 50mg - Oh my, my sleep wasn’t good before but this is horrendous, I’m waking up every hour. I’m not sure I can do this. Anyone been through this?
Which triggers you, is it the ‘sensation’ or the ‘thought’, like what comes first for you?
I find this so interesting how our brains work. And seeing as it causes me so much upset on a daily basis, it intrigues me.
For me it’s the sensation, I suppose you would call it body noise.
Something gets my attention, like an ache for example and off I go, checking closer, examining said area, feeling around, panicking and thinking the worst.
If my body is quiet, and doesn’t grab my attention, I don’t think about it, I feel happy. Well, happy ish lol.
But if anything draws my attention to certain areas that’s when it all goes tits up!
Would love to hear other people’s triggers.
Monitoring of more than one symptom but long term?
Do any of you have a few ‘long term’ things that you monitor, like they are always on your radar?
Do they take turns at being top priority for example? Would love to hear what others go through 🙏
How does this stuff work on the brain compared to Prozac for example?
Sertraline will be my 3rd SSRI.
Citalopram and Prozac not much help.
Does anyone understand how it works in our brains ?
Thanks 🙏

Changing over to Sertraline
Have any of you been through this or similar?
I’ve been on Prozac for 6months and the last 6 weeks on a dose of 40mg.
My GP has okay’d me to start Sertraline after 5 days with zero Prozac.
I’m on day 3 of Zero Prozac and thinking about starting a really low dose of the Sertraline tomorrow - day 4.
Has anyone done an actual stop Prozac one day and start a new SSRI the next?
Reason I’m asking is I’m dreading the onboarding process of Sertraline and I suppose I’m looking to get started asap.
Just your thoughts that’s all :)
Anyone stopped Fluoxetine one day and started a new SSRI the next?
If so, please could you say what dosage of Fluoextine you were on when you stopped please?
Cheers
👋☺️

SSRI’s - would appreciate your thoughts please
GP has given me the okay to try my 3rd antidepressant which is Sertralineeee - Can you believe I’ve had to spell that incorrectly or else my post won’t be accepted!
I’ve been trying AD’s for a period of 2 years now. Prozac and Citalopram, better for mood but not my problems with HA.
It’s to help with stopping body checking and stopping mayhem when I think I’ve found something - which is a daily occurrence. So I’m always on high alert.
Don’t even know if Sertralineee would help this type of health anxiety? Any input would be great!
Thank you 🙏
More than one fear - it’s a small shopping list
I have more than one body part that my HA fixates on… like 5 for many years now.
They all take a turn at giving me pure worry - even tho I’ve been down that path with that particular issue before.
Like one takes priority for a while and then it will go on the back burner and one of the others will take priority.
The cause is always something that brings my attention to that particular area.
Any one else relate. Shame I can’t give examples but I guess it might trigger someone.
Thanks 🙏
Anyone else lowering their dose at the moment?
I’ve come to the end of the road with this med, I’ve been on it for 6months and the last 7 weeks I’ve given 60mg a good run - no real improvements mentally and physically I’m 2 stone heavier and still gaining.
I feel gutted/angry/worried that I now have to wean myself off.
What a waste of time!
Lowering to 40mg tomorrow.
Anyone else tapering?
Should I be concerned? - 60mg
Hello 👋
Okay I have been on Prozac for 6months.
I’ve been on 60mg for 4 weeks.
I suffer with OCD in the form of health anxiety, but I am still continuing to body check daily and have the intrusive thoughts.
My mood is quite good, until the thought comes to check one last time just to be sure….
Is one month enough (on 60mg)?
Thank you 🙏
