Hey guys, I received both fan and player versions of England’s red home and white away shirts from SPKIV a few days back, thought I’d lay them next to each other and share how different they really are for anyone debating which to get.

First thing I felt right out the bag was the fabric difference, applies to both home and away kits. The fan one’s just plain smooth material with basic Dri-FIT finish, the player jersey has a faint subtle pattern all over it marked AERO-FIT, it’s way lighter and feels a lot more breathable.

All the logos and crest quality aren’t even close. The fan kit’s crest and swoosh are stitched woven patches, the player ones are thick raised silicone that look sharper and sturdier. There are clear visual differences you can pick up once placed side by side.

Even little trims like the collar, sleeve ends and bottom ribbing stand out. Player’s trim is textured mesh knit, the fan’s thin flat band feels cheaper up close. The print at the back neck and shoulder detailing also use better rubber material on the player cut.

Fit is where you’ll notice the biggest difference when wearing it. Fan cut’s loose, regular casual sizing, super roomy. The player fit is slim and tapered, just like the kits athletes wear during matches, same for both home red and away white tops.

If you only throw a jersey on casually to watch games, the fan model’s totally fine. But if you collect shirts or love that real match-day look and texture, paying a little more for the player version is well worth it. Overall happy with the items I received from SPKIV, all jerseys had clean detailing and arrived faster than I anticipated.

First thing I felt right out the bag was the fabric difference, applies to both home and away kits. The fan one’s just plain smooth material with basic Dri-FIT finish, the player jersey has a faint subtle pattern all over it marked AERO-FIT, it’s way lighter and feels a lot more breathable.

All the logos and crest quality aren’t even close. The fan kit’s crest and swoosh are stitched woven patches, the player ones are thick raised silicone that look sharper and sturdier. There are clear visual differences you can pick up once placed side by side.

Even little trims like the collar, sleeve ends and bottom ribbing stand out. Player’s trim is textured mesh knit, the fan’s thin flat band feels cheaper up close. The print at the back neck and shoulder detailing also use better rubber material on the player cut.

Fit is where you’ll notice the biggest difference when wearing it. Fan cut’s loose, regular casual sizing, super roomy. The player fit is slim and tapered, just like the kits athletes wear during matches, same for both home red and away white tops.

If you only throw a jersey on casually to watch games, the fan model’s totally fine. But if you collect shirts or love that real match-day look and texture, paying a little more for the player version is well worth it. Overall happy with the items I received from SPKIV, all jerseys had clean detailing and arrived faster than I anticipated.
