Has anyone figured out the days and month the first movie takes place?

I say it takes place during 4th of July weekend 1977. That would have them finishing the run on either Sunday the 3rd or Monday the 4th depending on WHAT DAY the run began.

Are Blokees and Keeppley the same thing just different names or are they just similar toys?
