Moving to Connecticut for a job at UConn Health – Looking for housing and local advice!
Hi everyone!
I recently accepted a position as a Research Technician at UConn Health, and I'll be moving from Baltimore to Connecticut soon. I've never been to Connecticut before, so I'd really appreciate any advice!
I'm looking for recommendations on:
- Good areas to live in that are convenient for commuting to UConn Health.
- Safe neighborhoods that are reasonably affordable.
- How the public transportation system is (or if having a car is necessary).
- General information about what it's like living in the area.
I'd ideally like to rent a studio or a 1-bedroom apartment, but my budget isn't very high, so I'm also open to sharing an apartment with a roommate if that's the more affordable option.
Any tips, recommendations, or things I should know before moving would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
