Title: [Prebuilt Help] Biased towards ASUS ROG G700 (RTX 5070 PRIME). Buy now or wait a year for prices to drop?
Hey guys,
I need some advice. I decided to buy myself gaming PC, but just to get this out of the way: I definitely don't have the time (or the skills) to build one myself. So, I'm strictly looking at prebuilts.
Right now, I'm heavily leaning towards the ASUS ROG G700. Specifically, the configuration featuring the NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5070 PRIME 12GB GDDR7 (3xDP, 1x HDMI). My baseline requirement is that the rig must have either an RTX 5070 Ti or the 5070 PRIME.
Here is my main dilemma: Prices for these new 50-series systems are currently at an all-time high. It feels like a massive investment right now, and I'm trying to figure out the best financial move without completely sacrificing my gaming experience in the short term.
I'd love to get your thoughts on a couple of things:
The System: Is the ROG G700 a solid prebuilt choice for the RTX 5070 PRIME/Ti tier, or are there better, more reliable prebuilt alternatives out there right now that I should be looking at?
The Market Timing: My biggest question is about the timing. Do you guys think it's worth just biting the bullet and buying it now, or is it pretty likely that prices will drop a decent amount if I hold out for another year?
Also, if anyone actually owns the G700 or knows of a better prebuilt out there with a 5070 Ti/Prime, I'm all ears.
Appreciate the help!
