Spiro is a no go
Hi all, just had a consultation with my GP who said she feels weary about prescribing me spironolactone because I already have low blood pressure (100 over 74 as measured on the spot at her office).
Has anyone had any luck with anything else when they couldn't be on spiro?
She's offering me metformin but says the pill would help with my acne more. I don't want to go on the pill again.
*For reference, diagnosed at 13 with cysts and irregular periods. Went on the pill at 21, came off at 24 and had more regular cycles but now also hirsutism, slight weight gain, developed heart condition, hair loss, and acne. Have been on inositol and a (mostly) keto diet since January and have had better periods but acne/hair loss/hirsutism are still quite bad.
