8 weeks on tret and tracking my skin daily helped me catch a moisturizer that was breaking me out

I am 8 weeks into tret 0.025% and ive been logging everything daily on thea since i started out. Weeks 3 to 5 were brutal, purge hit hard on my jawline and chin but the biggest thing tracking caught was that my moisturizer was clogging my pores on off nights. I switched to illiyoon ceramide ato cream because one of my colleagues had been using it and she recommended it and the difference was almost immediate. The random bumps on rest days stopped and my purge started calming down way faster after that. I think the heavier ceramide formula just agreed with my skin better on tret.

Has anyone else discovered something was secretly breaking them out and only caught it because they were paying close attention?

8 weeks on tret and what tracking taught me (27F)

I'm 8 weeks into tret 0.025% and wanted to share what i have noticed because ive been logging everything daily on Thea since day one. Weeks 1 to 2: skin felt tight and dry but no purge yet. Weeks 3 to 5: purge hit HARD, jawline and chin covered in new spots, I wanted to quit so badly. Week 6 to 8: purge calming down, old spots healing fast, texture getting smoother. The thing that surprised me most from my log was how much skipping nights mattered. Every time I skipped tret 2 nights in a row my skin got worse within a few days. I also discovered that a moisturizer I was using on offnights was clogging my pores and the only reason i caught it because the pattern was right there in my data. If youre starting tret please track everything from day one. You will thank yourself so much during the purge when it feels like nothing is working but the data says otherwise.

Has anyone else noticedd patterns they wouldn't have caught without tracking?
