Mistakes Were Made: Lessons from 007 FirstLight

Context: I'm a casual gamer that's on the slower side of learning video games. I hope these tips might help others that struggle:

1) Learn how to fight. Practice your hand-to-hand combat moves. I only learned a couple of moves early on because I was excited about progressing. I only made it through the first time because I ran away from danger as much as I could.

2) You're James Bond, not Rambo. Scan the environment - there are often barrels or other mechanics in the environment that you can explode or activate to neutralize opponents.

3) After securing a scene, collect resources to re-fuel your gadgets. While we're at it: Use. Your. Gadgets. Again, you're James Bond .. you don't need to shoot everyone. I'm talking to me when I say that. lol

4) And thanks to other Reddit users for this: There are often multiple ways to progress through the game: social engineering, combat or environmental options. Sometimes, a door or crawl space will circumvent areas with lots of enemies. If you find yourself surrounded by 10 bad guys, there's likely another option.

5) Take your time. Explore your environments. I make this mistake in most video games. The game can create a false sense of urgency - but you can walk around and look for other options you might have used to clear a particular scene.

Bonus tip: Replay the Q Lab mission where you battle the thugs. There are MANY ways to deal with the enemies. So much fun!

Again, I'm kinda a n00b at video games. I invite more experienced players or anyone to jump in to add their tips. Cheers!

I Didn't Expect This Track to Sell 🤣

Let alone five times. Maybe people like the nostalgia factor?

I Should Have Praised the Audio Design First

I've recently posted a few positive reactions to 007 First Light. But, I buried the lead. The musical score is just fucking incredible. One track (The Valhalla experience) hits so hard. I'm wondering: How much of this is new and how much is borrowed from other film scores? (Either is fine!) This part beginning at 1:34 gives me goosebumps. Top Marks! https://youtu.be/f740U6epeVY?si=TAnk3EeyNq8my5SE&t=94

I’ve Never Enjoyed Re-Playing a Game as Much as This!

I like that you can take different paths upon re-play. Also, my power is out for more than five minutes, which is very unusual for this area. LoL.

Star Trek Command Infographic

Troi got promoted! A couple of errors, but pretty decent.
