Expanding the pool ( volume1 ) ssd nvme based with new HDD in terramaster
Subject: Help adding a 6TB HDD to expand storage on F4-424 (currently running on single NVMe)
Current Setup:
* NAS: TerraMaster F4-424
* Active Drive: 1TB Samsung NVMe SSD (contains the System, Pool 1, and Volume 1) configure in TRAID.
* Empty Slots: 1x NVMe slot, 4x HDD bays
The Issue:
My Plex library has filled up the 1TB SSD, and I need more space.
My Goal:
I have a new 6TB Seagate IronWolf HDD that I want to install. Because all of my server configurations and apps - including stack -arr app ( radarr, sonarr, bazarr - some of them of them through container some therough comunity - currently tied to the pool directory on the NVMe, I originally wanted to expand Volume 1 with this new HDD.
What is the safest and best way to add this HDD and increase my storage capacity for Plex without breaking my current nas configuration? Or require manual re-configuration of paths.
For those who might wander Why i install the TOS and pool from the beginning in single ssd. I was trying to keeping it small but eventually it became bigger
The best scenario is to migrate the media server files and download server to HDD and keep the TOS with the containers in the SSD. How to achieve that easly and safely without the need to resolve bugs later ?
