Berkshire Hathaway's ownership of Marubeni crossed the reporting threshold on June 25th, Mitsui on June 24th. After the disclosures last May for increases in ownership of Sumitomo and Mitsubishi, I expect that we'll see a future Berkshire Hathaway filing for Itochu Corporation.
I didn't get a paywall to read this article. It describes the current state and immediate future for the subsidiary (bright).
I've ridden on some NetJets flights as a tag along passenger (empty seats and I guess the fractional owners consider me to be good company). As a top-tier loyalty member for a major US airline, flying NetJets makes flying first class/business class seem like getting on a Greyhound bus to take a trip.
BRK's share count of Sumitomo rose by 9.5% (from 112,459,500 to 123,129,300) compared to the last disclosure filing (as of 03/10/2025) and shares outstanding dropped by 1.3% (from 1,211,099,367 to 1,195,115,184)

The prior regulatory filing showed a 9.67% stake in Mitsubishi on March 10, 2025. My personal opinion is that BRK very likely increased their holdings in the other four sōgō shōsha and will be submitting filings in the near future.
(edit) My opinion just changed. While BRK's share count of Mitsubishi increased by 5.5% (from 389,043,900 shares to 410,339,800), the number of shares outstanding dropped by 7.8% (from 4,022,391,153 shares to 3,710,528,742). I still feel that BRK increased their holdings of the four other sōgō shōsha, but it may not require regulatory filings for disclosure.
