Meet Benny

I picked him up from the airport today and I’m in love! He’s so sweet and glued to me already. I was reading some of the suggestions in this subreddit and started crate training (not immediately, we played and bonded for hours and then fell asleep while he was laying on my chest). I also got a snuggle puppy and a small blanket with his littermates scent on it to put in his crate. He has both a play pen and a crate and as to be expected he cries when he’s in either. However, to make him feel more comfortable, I took one of my blankets with my scent and placed it over the crate . It’s not covering the crate completely, one side is still uncovered and after 20 minutes of crying, he finally stopped. This is my first mini schnauzer, I’ve only ever had Yorkies so any more tips and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Healthcare Career Help?

Hey you guys, I really need help with my next career move in healthcare. Allow me to give you some background on myself:

Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management
Master’s in Business Analytics
Master’s in Health Informatics
Grad Cert in Data Analytics

I’m a former 4N0 flight medic, but chose not to stay in longer nor commission due to recently becoming a single parent to an almost 2 yr old. I know with a lot of military medics, the most obvious transition is to go right into nursing, but I never saw that for myself.

Since getting out, I landed a state job essentially enrolling people in Medicaid. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do and it’s rewarding helping people get access to care they need however, I find my true passion lies in healthcare quality and compliance.

Here’s the thing, all of the places I looked either requires an RN license or 5-7 years already in the field. I have neither. Additionally, I’m looking for something remote that’ll allow me to stay home with the kiddo. Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
