2005 Silverado Wiper Arm Issue
I have been trying to change the wiper blades on my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, but the wiper arm only lets it lift away from the windshield so far. The blades themselves can detach from the arms but don’t have enough room to flip over so that they can come all the way off. I’ve tried stopping them in different positions but the issue is simply that the blades don’t have enough room to get off the j-hooks.
My current guess is that I’ll have to remove the arms from the truck in order to do it, but I can’t imagine that’s what GM intended. The manual I have only shows the removal of them blades and no mention of the arm not lifting up far enough.
Wasn’t sure if this is the right place to ask or the right flair but if anyone could help I would appreciate it greatly.
