Studying organ without a pipe organ
I know the title might give a laugh but I'm really eager to learn. I previously enrolled in an organ class with someone I know but unfortunately had to stop attending the conservatory for some time. Now, I don't have access to an organ, but my teacher does let me go to their house to practice along with my composition lessons with him. The problem is he is 5 hours away, so I only go there once or twice a month. He is a really great organist but advised me to learn composition first since that is my strength.
I do have a semi-weighted piano but that is all I have. I don't have the money yet to spend on midi keyboards, a pedalboard, and a computer for a digital organ setup. My parish doesn't have a pipe organ, only an Electone. I do have thoughts of proposing the project but the people are not really receptive towards having an organ for now since I am the only one trying to study it. But I really want to work on my manual technique since that is what I have. I also do play piano. I hope I can get some good advice here. Thanks!
