I’ve given up
26M, university educated with a decent amount of practical work experience. I think I’m at my breaking point. I’ve been unemployed for a while now, and I was excited for this week because I was supposed to have 2 interviews this week that I thought I matched up with really well. Unfortunately, they both fell through.
One of them actively recruited me and asked me to apply and wanted my availability for the week. Only to close the application process and ghost my follow-up. It’s not like I spent 4 days prepping interview answers and doing mock interviews with friends. Just a little professional courtesy would be nice. Don’t ask for an interview if you aren’t going to give me a chance.
It seems the only thing to do now is to go back to school. I applied to pedorthics at Western which has a 100% job rate, but it really shouldn’t come to this. If I am qualified and am willing to do the work, I should at least be paid the courtesy to have interviews when they are offered.
