Her first beach day

To say she loved it is an understatement

Her reaction to everything was brand new so we're confident she'd never seen a beach (adopted a year ago)

Dogs obsessed with eating this one plant (it's nontoxic)

Our previous dog (a golden retriever) was absolutely obsessed with eating the little fuzzy pod seeds of what we call "beggarweed" - actual plant name Desmodium incanum. It's very common where we live and the seeds will stick all over clothing and fur. I looked it up, it's nontoxic so no worries there. But I had never experienced a dog doing this so I figured it was just a quirk of hers.

- she's not just cleaning herself and spitting them out, she's sniffing them out and consuming them intentionally

- it's beyond her fur, she'll chase me around to get them off my clothes

Now, that dog has passed, and a few years later we have our current girl, a completely different breed (mix) and a very different dog all around, but she is also absolutely obsessed with these things. Chasing me around to get the little morsels off my socks.

- they never met so she didn't learn the behavior from our previous dog

So I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?? 😂 Are these things delicious? Am I missing out on some delicacy coming straight from my yard?

I don't know how people live with multiple dogs

Like seriously how do you get anything done?

For context, I live in the US so of course our dogs are just ridiculously spoiled lol

I only actually own one dog - midsize athletic young adult about 4, mix rescue. But we dogsit for my mother regularly, about once a month, senior small mix. Neither are super social but cohabitate friendly with each other.

But I feel like the only thing I've done all day is tend to one thing or another that one of them wants/needs 😂 one wants outside, the other wants the couch, they both want my lap, until one settles with my partner then the other also wants him, one wants to play, they both want all the food, God forbid we have a thunderstorm; it's like this every time and I always wonder how to multiple dog households do it??

Not really looking for any advice here, it's not that serious just our silly experience and we love them both. Maybe someone else out there can relate.

Edit just to add - wow when I posted this I thought I might get 4-5 comments, and I realize this is not "blowing up" by any means but you all came out so much more than I expected. Thank you to all the dog lovers out there sharing your stories and experiences with me :)
