Hi everyone,
I’m a Portuguese citizen applying for the Australian Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa.

I’ve been trying to submit my application since applications opened, but every time I complete the form I receive the following message:

“The Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa has country specific annual visa quotas. Lodgement is currently closed for new applications from the applicant’s country, and the applicant will not be able to continue at this time.”

What confuses me is that the official website still shows applications as “Open”, and I’ve been getting this message since the very moment applications opened. Because of that, I don’t think it’s a case of the annual quota already being reached.

So far I’ve:
•Tried submitting the application multiple times.
•Checked that applications are still listed as “Open.”
•Contacted Australian technical support and am waiting for a response.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Hi! I’m applying right now from Spain (though I’m Portuguese) and was wondering if you ran into any issues during your application.

In my case, the applications are showing as “Open,” but when I fill out the form, I get this message:

More information about the annual quota for this country, including when the applicant can next apply for a visa, can be found on our website.”

It’s strange because I’ve been getting this message since the moment applications opened, so I don’t think it’s because the quota has already been reached.

Did you experience anything similar, or do you have any idea what might be causing it? Any help would mean a lot. Thank you!
