MSW LCSW

I have a friend who is interested in social work after finding out I’m starting school for it soon. The only thing is he has a sealed child endangerment and dui misdemeanor charge from when he made a mistake years ago and drove intoxicated with his 14 year old kid. He completed a diversion program and had the records sealed and has 5 years sober and has dedicated his life to substance abuse treatment and helping others. Extremely active in AA and local rehabilitation programs. Can he still get licensed as an LCSW?

Military TA MSW schools

I just recently got my BA from Liberty University. While I enjoyed the school I’m not sure it’s the best school to receive a MSW due to conflicting interests in school values and social work ethics. I want a school that has a good program, and will be accepted by a majority of internships but it has to meet the military TA cap of $250 per credit hour. So far I’ve only found AMU, Walden University, and Grand Canton University that meet the TA cap. I could use TA top up which pulls from my GI bill to pay the remaining tuition but plan on transferring that to my son when I retire in 6 years. Any recommendations?
