Lore: WW1 consumed the world from 1894-1898. Sweeping offenses left entire towns in ruins, while an entire generation of young men bled, from the jungles of New Guinea to the prairies of North America. The Continental Powers (red factions) initially had the advantage, Edenland and Meiran did not join initially, their position surrounding the Internist powers forced the Internists to defend, however across the world, Continental powers colonies were seized, primarily by Westermarc. Piedmontan central africa held out for the whole war, allowing them to keep the colony post war. The downfall of the continental powers came in 1897. A year earlier Edenland elected a nationalist leader who hated the continental powers, seeking a chance to join the war. This chance came when Pindoraman submarines fired on US civilian ships off the coast of Florida, the incident outraged the population, within a week the US declared war. What Edenland didnt realize, was that the incident was staged by the Internist powers as a desperate gamble to turn the war around. It worked, and the continentals progress across Europe was reversed. Basporia was not able to hold out, and surrounded after various uprisings took place by minorities and workers, Severnyyslavia then left the war while an exhuasted Auriga collapsed against ruthless Allemann attacks. On November 14th 1898 a ceasefire was signed, with a treaty being signed January of 1899.

Since the end of the war various conflicts have began, mainly over border disputes or as continuations of conflicts that sprung up during the war. The Dzing-Yingguo war is currently the largest scale war happening. The enormous Dzing and Yinguonese manpower has caused enormous casualties throughout East Asia, in both empires cracks are beginning to show. The US has attempted to fund republican rebels, however clashes with Cetus have slowed their aid. Auriga sold Greenland to Pindorama instead of Edenland because the Edenlanders took over Desitia, which was essentially an extension of Mainland Auriga, and the government wanted to spite the US. All those events are the reason the world map appears the way it does today.

Lore: (Relevant to this map) World War 3 begins on May 25th, 1992 after the World Treaty Organization aligned USSR invaded Commonwealth of Nations aligned Poland. The USV joined within hours to support their ally-the soviets. After many defeats across multiple fronts, 4 cities being nuked, millions of soldiers constantly dying overseas and a severe economic crisis the US citizens began to riot.

A secret deal by Labour party president Jonathan Barron allowed to formed states of the Republic of Malocuna to hold an independence referendum, however due to the strain of WW3 the military secretly halted the referendum process, causing massive rights in the south of the country. President Barrons and the vice president were assassinated on March 4th, 1998 causing the military to sieze power over the country. A provisional government led by the speaker of the house-Gordon D. Cottons gained the support of multiple states in the east. Gordon Cottons (legally president although not sworn in) negotiated the US exit of WW3, bringing millions of troops home, only to see their home about to tear itself apart. After the military failed to sieze the Provisional government controlled capital on June 28th all hell broke loose.

The Paranas Republic, led by Governor George W. Bush seceded, seeking a way to avoid going down with the rest of the nation. Then the 3 states in the Peru Region revolted, followed by Georgia, Roseford, Tropicana, and Equator seceding also to avoid damage from the war. Next the republic of Panau seceded, the Alpinian descended population was tired of being part of the majority Saxon descended union. Then the Navy siezed ports along the northern coast, unsure of which faction to align with. In the North, the Visporchian Confederation led by Thomas Merriwether seceded, then the military and provisional governments splintered, causing factions such as the V.P.L.A, H.N.A, Brighams Army, and Orderstaat of Nieuw Holland to rise up. By July 4th 1998 the United States of Visporchia had essentially entered its own warlord era, the comfort its citizens once enjoyed seemed a dream they were violently awoken from.
