Building a phone-call transcriber for people who live on calls - would you pay for this?
I'm a non-coder building a small web app that takes a recorded phone call → returns a transcript, speaker labels (who said what), an AI summary, and a list of action items.
Most transcription tools (Otter, Fireflies, Grain) are built around Zoom/Google Meet. I'm aiming at people whose work happens on actual phone calls — recruiters, real-estate agents, sales reps, lawyers, journalists, freelance consultants.
Right now I have a working MVP. Before I spend months on the production version, I want to gut-check the demand.
Honest questions:
- Would you actually pay for this? What's a fair price - one-time, subscription, or per-minute?
- What would make you trust a small indie tool with your call audio?
- Which feature would make or break it for you?
