Which AFSCs Deploy the Most & Offer the Most Active Duty, AGR Opportunities?

I’m located in Miami, FL and looking into joining the Air Force Reserve. My goal is to choose an AFSC that gives me good opportunities to deploy, travel, gain useful experience, and potentially spend more time on active duty orders while still being a Reservist.

For those currently serving, which Air Force Reserve jobs/AFSCs tend to deploy the most or have the most opportunities for active duty orders?

Also, are there good AGR (Active Guard Reserve) opportunities around South Florida/Miami? Can you serve as a traditional Reservist and later move into an AGR position, or how does that process work?

I’m trying to choose the best career field and path based on these goals. Any firsthand experience or recommendations would be appreciated!

Air National Guard recruit

Does anyone know the correct phone number, office location, or recruiter location for the Air National Guard in the Miami/Homestead, Florida area? I’ve had trouble finding accurate contact information online. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Active Duty or reserved

I’m looking for some honest advice from people who have experience with both Active Duty and the Air Force Reserve.

I’m having a hard time deciding which path to take. I live in Miami with my wife and our 5 year old son. Being close to my family is very important to me, especially while my son is still young. My wife and I also own a business in Miami, so relocating for Active Duty could be a major challenge for both our family and the business.

Because of that, I’m leaning toward the Reserve, but I’m worried about what I’d be giving up compared to Active Duty.

For those who have served in either or both:
Do you regret choosing one over the other?
How big is the difference in pay and benefits?
Is the Reserve worth it if you’re looking for military experience while keeping your civilian life?
Are there benefits that people don’t realize they’re missing by not going Active Duty?

For a little background, I’m married, 40 years old, physically fit, and genuinely want to serve. I’m just trying to make the smartest decision for both my family and my long term future.
I really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks in advance!
