Urgent - Formatted 2TB HDD with childhood photos: Recoverit shows 470k files with real previews. should I buy the license?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice before I spend money on recovery software.

I accidentally formatted my 2TB WD HDD about a year ago. Only ~5GB was written after formatting.

Recoverit scanned the drive twice and found 470k+ files (1.07TB) with actual photo/video thumbnails. I also started an R-Studio scan to compare.

However, I've seen many negative Reddit posts about Recoverit, and my attempts to buy it failed (SBI UPI and PayPal both say "bank declined for security reasons"). Only option left is credit card

Questions:

Since Recoverit shows real previews, is

that a good sign the files are recoverable?

These are ~1TB of irreplaceable family photos, so I want to choose the safest option. Thanks!

Also im trying to scan with diskdrill but its showing 67hrs to just scan and rstudio 2months 3 days although i know it comes down to 5% of what it said. Still its so long. Pleaseeeee helppp!
