Is there anyone that has worked in a MICU and was never trained on CRRT. But still applied to CRNA school and got accepted ?

Im 3 years in ICU. 1 year at one facility and 2 years at the current.

The current facility only has a class once a year and they don’t like to enroll new employees in the class that hasn’t put a significant amount of time in. This is a community hospital. Only ICU in hospital.

Pivoting-Chicago ICU Nurses

Hey, I am someone who would like to apply for CRNA within the next 16 months. I want to Leave my current MICU JOB(17-bed community hospital). For a bigger hospital system. I.e.Rush,UI Health, Stroger.

Should I stay within the MICU setting, Join a float pool, or SICU?

I am asking because in that short amount of time I want to be able to ask a manger for a reference. How long were you at your position before asking for a reference ?

Chicago ICU nurses what hospital system did you work at where the manager that was supportive of your CRNA goals ?
