Does a podcast stop being a podcast if the video isn't just a talking head ?

I'm seeing a huge shift from audio-only podcasts to video podcasts, and I'm okay with that trend. However, I'm not comfortable recording myself talking on camera. My current format is a weekly audio monologue.

I've been thinking about adding relevant B-roll footage of myself making or doing something related to the topic I'm discussing + subtitles. But would that turn my content into more of a vlog than a podcast? And if so, would it still make sense to target a podcast audience, or would that be a mistake?

Does what you say matter more than how you say it in a podcast?

Hey, podcasters! I'm not a native English speaker, but I want to start a podcast where I share funny thoughts, daily observations, and a bit of life drama from my corner of Eurasia.

My accent will probably always be noticeable... and my question is: does what you say matter more than how you say it?

Can a podcast with a foreign accent still be enjoyable for UK and US audiences if the stories, humor, and personality are interesting enough?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.
