Hi everyone, I just wanted to get your thoughts on something I’m currently dealing with as a freelancer/VA
I’m working on a new project where my client wants me to recruit and onboard local small businesses for a paid research task. The requirement is that they must use an iPhone 12 Pro to complete the work.
The issue is, a lot of qualified local businesses here actually want to join but they don’t have a compatible device even though they’re a good fit in terms of skills and business type. So they’re getting disqualified just because of the phone requirement.
I was thinking of a possible workaround: since I already have around 10 interested businesses, I’m considering buying second-hand iPhone 12 Pro units and letting them use the phones temporarily (like a 1-month rental setup).
My idea is that they would essentially pay it back from their earnings for example, if they earn $400 they would give $200 as the phone rental for that month.
I’m not sure if this is practical or even a good idea, so I’d really appreciate any thoughtsespecially on whether this is a smart move or if there are better ways to handle this kind of situation.
